#Lineage w series series
In Australia the W Series tractors often were the first tractors many farmers owned so explaining them in terms of how many horses they replaced made sense. The US advertising described the W series tractors in terms of "bottoms" (furrows ploughed) W-4 = 2 bottom, W-6 = 3 bottom & W-9 = 4 bottom The details you supplied about how many horses the Letter Series W Series tractors were equivalent to MAY have answered the question of where the model numbers came from. See attached photograph as well as my 1941 W-4. The W-4 and W-6 arrived in New Zealand by 1941 at least and the first WD-6 is in Christchurch and probably the second is here as well. It would, like the Farmall H pull 2 14" furrow plows which what was usually pulled by 4 horses where as the W-6 would pull 3 furrows (6 horses) but at higher speeds and all day. The W-4 replaced both W-12/14 and 10-20, smaller that a 10-20 but with same power and slightly longer and heavier than a W-14 (66 inch wheelbase versus 60 inch) with more power. Lineage W is yet another mobile version of the MMO series ‘strategically developed for global users’ By Chris Neal - Aug2:00 PM 7 At this point, the Lineage series is going to undergo so much mitosis that it will finally become a multi-cellular organism that will randomly wander the world and unleash massive AOEs on the planet. The true Lineage that gathered everything from the Lineage series that lasted for 24 years Global scale MMORPG where players all over the world fight for. the big implements that would reuire the power of the M were labelled M. With the letter series both the H and M had the same wheel base so most implements were labelled H/M as they would fit either tractor. Prior to the letter series there were cultivating implements on 3 sizes as the F-12, F-20 and F-30 all had different wheel-bases and different attachment points. The Farmall M replaced the Farmall F-30 but again copied the layout of the F-12/14. The Faemall H gad the power of the F-20 for plowing or belt work and the weight/size and layout of the F-12/14. My understanding is that the Farmall H replaced both the Farmall F-20 and the F-14, Both the F-20 and F-12/14 were two row tractors and the F-30 could handle 4 rows.
